Poggiomarino – He had pretended to be an undercover carabinieri officer but the real carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata radiomobile section immediately recognized Taibi Laklech, a 43-year-old of Moroccan origins, already known to the police.
The man was captured on surveillance cameras at a betting shop in Poggiomarino while, taking advantage of the owner's distraction, he stole his cell phone and then disappeared.
Determined to recover the device, the shopkeeper used GPS tracking to track the thief, but when he reached him he was threatened with a knife. At that point, the police, who blocked the man.
Despite the evidence of the video, Laklech attempted a last desperate move to avoid arrest: he declared himself an external collaborator of the Arma, an undercover agent belonging to the "homicide section". However, the idea did not convince the military, who handcuffed him and took him to the Poggioreale prison.
For the 43-year-old, the fake “cover” has been exposed and the charges of theft and threat aggravated remain confirmed.
