Pomigliano d'Arco – A lively night on the streets of Pomigliano d'Arco, where the State Police arrested a 34-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record, accused of improper robbery, assault, resisting a public official and damage.
Two other men, aged 20 and 26, were placed under judicial police custody. The operation began in via Leonardo da Vinci, when the agents of the Flying Squad, during a territorial control, noticed three individuals intent on tinkering with a parked car.
At the sight of the patrol, the suspects attempted to flee in two vehicles. A high-speed chase ensued, during which the police car was rammed several times.
Once on state road 162bis, at the junction Pomigliano South, the fugitives abandoned the vehicle and continued their escape on foot. The officers managed to block the 34-year-old, while inside the stolen car a “clone” key was found and the door was forced open.
At dawn, after further investigations, the Police tracked down and arrested the other two accomplices, both Neapolitans and with criminal records. The same judicial measures were taken against them.
The operation is part of the activities to combat car thefts in the area, which have been intensified in recent weeks by law enforcement.

It is interesting to see how the police acted in this situation, but it is also worrying that there is so much crime in this area. Hopefully there will be more controls to improve security.
