The Sabato della Fotografia (Photography Saturday) kicked off the new year at the Sala Assoli in Naples, attracting the attention of photography enthusiasts. The inauguration featured Sophie-Anne Herin, presenting her captivating project "Entre chien et loup" (Between Dog and Wolf). The artist, originally from the Aosta Valley, explores the contrasts of the Aosta Valley twilight in her photographs, creating a unique atmosphere of light and shadow. This photographic work, which has already been exhibited at the Gamba Castle in Chatillon, stands out for the artist's sensitive approach.

### The beauty of Envers

Sophie-Anne Herin’s images focus on Envers, a region in the Aosta Valley famous for its sparse winter light. The artist’s aim is to explore the shadows, an element she considers an essential part of her visual memory. Through “Entre chien et loup”, the public is invited on a suggestive journey, suspended in time and distant from the rhythms of everyday life.

### January Events

The review will continue with other significant events. On January 18, Uliano Lucas and Manuela Fugenzi will offer a vision of the working world and the migratory phenomena of the 70s in Italy, while on January 25, Patrizio Esposito will speak with Fatima Mahfoud of the Polisario Front, exploring the Sahrawi question through photographs and testimonies.

### Sophie-Anne Herin's journey

Sophie-Anne Herin, originally from the Aosta Valley, developed her art at DAMS in Bologna and IED in Turin. Since 2008, she has led a career full of projects both in Italy and abroad, with notable works such as “Viaggio Nudo” in Shanghai and “Malemort” on Lake Garda, which addresses gender violence. Recently, her research has focused on memory and territory, with visual installations that blend intimacy and depth.

I read the article on Saturday Photography and it seems interesting. Sophie-Anne Herin seems to have a unique approach to her photos, but I'm not sure if the contrasts of twilight are as fascinating as they say.
