Last night, a robbery occurred at the villa of Maria Sole Agnelli, sister of lawyer Gianni Agnelli, located in the Torrimpietra area. Carabinieri from the Civitavecchia branch and the Ostia investigative unit responded to investigate.
From the first investigations, it emerged that five individuals, their faces covered and armed with a gun, broke into the villa. They immobilized both the security guard and the housekeeper, managing to take away the safe. Maria Sole Agnelli was in the house during the theft, but did not realize what had happened. The amount of the loot has yet to be quantified. Investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible for the criminal action.
Greater attention for the Fiumicino area
The mayor of Fiumicino, Mario Baccini, commented on the incident, underlining that “Just yesterday I spoke on the topic of security because Fiumicino, being a city in great expansion also from the point of view of economic growth, in recent times has been somewhat under the attention of micro-criminals who commit this type of theft”.
Baccini reported that last week he discussed with the police the need for increased surveillance in the territory of Fiumicino, which extends for 220 square kilometers. The mayor concluded by stating that "As a Municipality, we will also try to set up initiatives to monitor the territory more effectively."

It is really worrying what happened to Maria Sole Agnelli, and the mayor is right to say that we need to pay more attention to security. Petty crime is increasing and this is not good. I hope the investigations will bring results.
