On January 24th, "Non Ti Ricordi Più," the new single from the Italian band Ridillo, was released on all digital and radio platforms. The song, written by poet Guido Catalano, also featured on the lyrics, is a blend of Italian funk and irreverent poetry.
A New Musical Project
The song previews a special EP, "Poesie Orecchiabili," which will feature musical adaptations of poems by renowned authors such as Aldo Palazzeschi, Charles Bukowski, and Freak Antoni. "Non Ti Ricordi Più" has been described by Catalano as one of his "End of Relationship Poems," a series of compositions that focus on the end of romantic relationships, rather than the initial courtship.
A Dive into Personal Inspiration
Catalano has stated that the inspiration for these poems comes from his own experiences of suffering in his personal relationships. This adds a touch of authenticity to the project, which aims to explore and share common emotions in an original way.
Making the Video Clip
Daniele Bengi Benati, singer and guitarist of Ridillo, shared details about the making of the music video. Directed by Roberto Baldassari, the video was shot during a video call, a choice that reflects the growing integration of video calls into daily life, both for work and pleasure.
