The Rotary Club Paestum Centenario has made a significant environmental donation, donating 450 native Mediterranean plants to the Municipality of Agropoli .
The donated species include privet, myrtle, oleander, Aleppo pine, pittosporum, raphiolepis and rosemary, all intended for the reforestation of municipal green areas.
The initiative focuses particularly on the outdoor spaces of local schools and the Trentova-Tresino Visitor Center, symbolic places that will soon see a significant increase in urban greenery.
The symbolic planting ceremony of the first saplings is scheduled for Thursday 23 January at 11 am at the Trentova-Tresino Visitor Centre, with the participation of the president of the Rotary Club Paestum Centenario, Enzo Bagini.
The mayor of Agropoli, Roberto Mutalipassi, expressed his gratitude by declaring: «The municipal administration is deeply grateful to the Rotary Club Paestum Centenario for having chosen Agropoli as the recipient of this generous donation of forest saplings. We will gladly integrate them into our green heritage.»
Rosa Lampasona, deputy mayor and councilor for the environment, added: "Initiatives like these allow us to make Agropoli increasingly green. Every tree planted represents a shared commitment to a more sustainable future and a healthier environment for everyone."
