SAN GENNARO VESUVIANO – Two people were arrested last night in San Gennaro Vesuviano after being caught in possession of 3 kilos of illegal explosives, an operation conducted by Carabinieri from the Carbonara di Nola station.
It was around 20:500 PM when the military, traveling along Via di Sarno, noticed two men intent on rummaging through the trunk of a Fiat XNUMXX. Although the scene might have seemed ordinary, the Carabinieri decided to carry out a more thorough check. The decision proved crucial: in the trunk of the vehicle they found two large homemade explosive devices, each weighing one and a half kilos.
The intervention of the bomb disposal unit of the provincial command of Naples was necessary on site, which secured the area and proceeded with the seizure of the devices. The explosives, homemade and highly lethal, were found to have no legal categorization, making them extremely dangerous.
The two men arrested, a 32 year old San Gennaro Vesuvius and a 21-year-old from Ottaviano, both with no criminal record, were unable to provide any justification for the possession of the devices. Arrested in flagrante delicto, they were transferred to prison and will have to answer to the charge of illegal possession of explosive material.

It's a strange thing that these things happen in San Gennaro Vesuviano. I don't understand how two people can have so many explosives without any valid reason. The police must always be vigilant.
