The military personnel of the local station, assisted by the Carabinieri Labor Inspectorate of Caserta, carried out targeted checks to verify compliance with safety regulations and the regularity of employment relationships.

During the inspection, which involved five companies active in the construction site, 11 workers were identified, four of whom were found to be employed illegally. Among them, a 32-year-old Algerian illegally on Italian territory.

Furthermore, serious safety deficiencies emerged: missing or non-compliant scaffolding, parapets and fences, failure to use personal protective equipment and omissions regarding mandatory medical examinations and professional training of employees.

The violations led to the imposition of administrative sanctions for a total of over 30 thousand euros and to the denunciation at large of the five directors of the companies involved. For one of the companies, the suspension of business activity was also triggered.

An intervention that underlines the commitment of the police forces in guaranteeing safe working conditions and in fighting the phenomenon of irregular work.
