San Sebastiano al Vesuvio - A 65 euro robbery involving a gun in hand: two young men aged 25 and 26 were the victims in the square of San Sebastiano and today, three weeks later, the perpetrator was sent to prison.
Carabinieri officers from the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio station executed a pre-trial detention order issued by the Nola Court, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office. The order targeted a 43-year-old local man, considered a serious suspect in a robbery that occurred on January 1, 2025.
According to the investigators' reconstruction, on the day of New Year two young men aged 25 and 26 were in a square San Sebastiano al Vesuvio when they were approached by a man armed with a gun. The attacker, after threatening them, demanded €65 from them and then fled.

The investigations, started immediately following the victims' complaint, led the military to acquire and analyze the footage from the video surveillance cameras present in the area.
The bandit had a toy gun: betrayed by the clothes
The evidence collected allowed the suspect to be identified, who was later found in possession of the clothes worn during the robbery and a toy gun without a red cap, used to intimidate the victims.
The 43-year-old was transferred to the Naples Poggioreale prison, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities.

The robbery that happened in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio was very serious and affected young people. It is incredible how a 43-year-old man can do something like that with a gun even if it was a toy. I wonder how it could have happened.
