Five people have been identified so far in connection with the violent clashes that took place on Wednesday evening in the Monti district of Rome between Lazio ultras and Real Sociedad fans: the episode, which occurred around 23pm, has raised great concern for public order in the capital.
According to reports, investigators of the Digos have already sent an initial report to the Rome Prosecutor's Office containing the names of those identified. The investigations continue vigorously, with particular attention to the viewing of the videos that immortalized the moments of chaos. The images are now being examined by investigators to trace the identity of other possible perpetrators involved in the riots.
The location of the five individuals already identified is currently being investigated by the authorities. The clashes, which involved two opposing groups of fans, fueled a climate of tension in the hours following the match, once again underlining the risks associated with violence in football environments.
