A 39-year-old man was arrested by the State Police in Secondigliano for illicit possession of narcotic substances: the arrest took place yesterday evening, during an operation conducted by the officers of the Police Station of Secondigliano.
While driving along Via Montenero, officers noticed a man acting suspiciously while retrieving a purse hidden under a parked car. The officers' immediate intervention led to the discovery of illegal substances.
In the purse, which turned out to be the man's, 27 packages of hashish and 69 packages of marijuana were found. The total quantity of drugs seized amounted to 261 grams. The man also had €550 in cash, divided into bills of various denominations, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
The man, originally from Naples and with a criminal record, was arrested by law enforcement for drug possession. Officers continue to monitor the area to prevent similar illegal activity.
