A 44-year-old Neapolitan, already known to the police, was arrested yesterday morning for attempted aggravated theft.
The agents of the General Prevention Office, engaged in the usual checks of the territory, were alerted by the Operations Room following a report of a theft in progress at a construction site in via Fratelli Rosselli.
Arriving at the scene, the police officers spotted three men busy loading construction materials into a van. At the sight of the uniforms, two of them ran away, managing to disappear. The third, however, was stopped and handcuffed.
Investigations continue to identify and track down the accomplices.
