The Carabinieri of the Forestry Units of Serino and Forino, as part of targeted checks aimed at combating the phenomenon of pollution of the Sarno river, have reported in a state of freedom to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Avellino the administrator and legal representative of a company in Solofra, active in the tanning sector.
The man is considered responsible for the illegal management of hazardous special waste. During the activity conducted with the support of the Carabinieri of the local Station, it emerged that the company did not regularly dispose of the special waste deriving from the production cycle, violating the environmental legislation in force. The area, with approximately 50 plastic drums containing hazardous waste, was placed under seizure.
