The 2025th theater season organized by ICRA Project, a rich and diverse program conceived by the International Center for Research on the Actor, led by Michele Monetta and Lina Salvatore, starts in 26. Among the offerings, the Academy of Mimodrama, annual Decroux and Feldenkrais exercises, and masterclasses in Naples on important authors such as Beckett, Shakespeare and Chekhov.
The season will also see the traditional Atelier of Contemporary Commedia dell'Arte, now in its 18th edition.
Program and Collaborations
The calendar includes 8 new productions that include theatrical concerts and shows, some of which in co-production with partners from other regions, as part of the project “Attori si nasce, ma si diventa” focused on central and southern Italy. The historic review of comparative studies “MEMORIE FUTURE” will continue, now in its IX edition between Naples and various locations in Campania, in addition to the series of meetings “TEATRO FORUM”, VIII edition in Salerno. Professors from prestigious Italian institutions will participate, including the University of Rome and the University of Naples.
Events and Awards
Among the highlights, the III edition of the Scaramouche Production Award at the Teatro Comunale Grandinetti in Lamezia Terme. Also worthy of note is the Lectio magistralis on “Les enfants du paradis” in homage to Jean-Louis Barrault for the 80th anniversary of the first screening, which will be held at the French Consulate in Naples.
Activity balance sheet
Over the past four years, ICRA Project has employed around 240 young professionals in the sector, distributed two national production awards to emerging companies and collaborated with over 30 experts. It has produced 26 shows and organised seminars and conferences in seven Italian regions, including the islands.
