Casal Velino - A dramatic accident occurred during the night along Corso Europa, where a car fell into the void after knocking down a railing. The victim is a 34-year-old man of Romanian origin, born in 1991.
According to an initial reconstruction, the vehicle crossed a traffic island before ending up against a railing, breaking through it and falling into the void. The following intervened on site: Fire fighters of Agropoli who, together with the 118 personnel, extracted the driver from the wreckage. Unfortunately, the rescue efforts proved useless: the 118 doctor confirmed the death of the young man, who was found unconscious.
The police have started an investigation to shed light on the causes that led to the tragic accident and the death of the driver.
