AFRAGOLA – Accident on the A1 Naples-Rome motorway near Afragola, where a Sicilian truck driver lost his life: Pasquale Sergio Tranchida, originally from Marsala, was driving towards Northern Italy when the fatal accident occurred.
According to an initial reconstruction, the truck driven by Tranchida suddenly skidded, violently crashing into the guardrail. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, which flipped several times along the roadway before stopping about 30 meters from the point of impact. The truck driver was thrown from the cabin and found lifeless on the asphalt by rescuers.
