The city of Portici will also have its own red zones: there are three of them, and they were decided by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, at the conclusion of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety held on January 28th.
An emergency ordinance has introduced specific measures in the three areas considered most at risk for the proliferation of widespread illegality or crime (so-called "red zones") in the municipality of Portici.
Le areas of interest are: 1) Nightlife area Piazza Poli; 2) area of historical interest via Marconi, via Arlotta, via Bellucci Sessa, piazza San Ciro; 3) East area via Martiri di via Fani, largo Arso.
The measure will last three months and prohibits the loitering in the aforementioned areas of individuals who engage in aggressive, threatening, or persistently harassing behavior—creating a concrete threat to public safety that hinders the free and full use of those areas—and who have already been reported to the Judicial Authority for drug-related crimes, crimes against the person, predatory crimes, invasions of land or buildings, illegal possession of weapons, illegal possession of weapons, or possession of weapons and/or objects intended to offend.
It is possible that, in light of further investigations carried out by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, may adopt further measures.
