A tragic murder has shocked the city of Messina, where a 26-year-old man killed his mother with more than fifteen stab wounds at the end of a violent argument. The victim, Caterina Pappalardo, was 62 years old and was attacked in her apartment located in via Cesare Battisti.
The alleged perpetrator of the crime, Giosuè Fogliani, has been arrested and is currently in prison. According to reports, the young man has already confessed to the murder. The police were alerted by some neighbors who heard screams coming from the house.
The investigations are now being monitored by the Messina Prosecutor's Office, which has ordered an autopsy on Caterina Pappalardo's body for tomorrow, in order to further clarify the dynamics of the episode and collect evidence useful for the legal proceedings.
