The victim of the tragedy that occurred yesterday evening on the border between Villa Literno and Cancello Arnone has been identified: Felice Cannavale, 27 years old, resident in Casal di Principe.
The young man was killed by a hit-and-run driver who ran away after hitting him. It was a few minutes before 22 pm and Felice was with his girlfriend at the Radici restaurant when he had to move the car.
At that moment another car passes along via Santa Maria a Cubito. It is raining, visibility is not optimal: the driver of the car hits it head-on but instead of stopping, runs away.
Rescue operations begin immediately but the situation is desperate.
There is nothing that can be done for the unfortunate 27-year-old Felice Cannavale: the 27-year-old's body is now at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Caserta for an autopsy while the Carabinieri have started investigations to trace the identity of the pirate.
The military questioned some witnesses and looked at the images from some private cameras in the area to be able to trace at least the license plate number of the car and then trace the hit-and-run driver.

It's a tragedy that affects us all, but I don't understand how people can run away after such a serious accident. The victim was young and had his whole life ahead of him. Let's hope the person responsible is found soon.
