Tortona – A fatal blow to the chest, delivered with a cutting weapon: this is how a 19-year-old, originally from Cameroon, died during a brawl that took place near the Tortona train station, in the province of Alessandria.
The episode, which is being investigated by the police, would be linked to an alleged attempted theft of an electric scooter.
According to the testimony of Remo Grasso, director of the Isola Bella reception center in Isola Sant'Antonio, where the victim was staying, the young man would have owned the disputed vehicle. "Everything would have started from there," Grasso declared to Radio Gold.
At the moment, a 24-year-old Moroccan national has been arrested as a suspect, but his position is still being examined by the Prosecutor's Office. In the meantime, investigators are acquiring and analyzing images from surveillance cameras to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the attack.

It is a tragic event that has affected the community of Tortona. Violence should never be the solution to problems, especially for such trivial matters as a scooter. Let's hope that justice is done.
