An event of vandalism has hit the exterior of the metro station line 6 in Piazza Santa Maria degli Angeli, located in Monte di Dio. During the night, the site, considered one of the most significant works of contemporary architecture in the city and inaugurated last year after a long period of work lasting twenty years, was targeted by the ultras of Napoli "Brigata Carolina 1989".
This episode raises concerns about the safety and protection of Naples' artistic and architectural heritage, already threatened in the past by acts of vandalism. The station, symbol of an important urban development project, risks suffering further damage to the city's image.
Local authorities are taking action to identify those responsible and ensure that similar acts are not repeated in the future. The episode highlights the need to increase controls and implement protection strategies to preserve the valuable works of the Neapolitan metropolis.
“Yet another outrage perpetrated by those who sing 'I defend the city' and then deface and humiliate it” - commented Borrelli together with the municipal councilors Lorenzo Pascucci and Gianni Caselli - “We asked for the graffiti to be removed even if those who created them should take care of it. If they really love Naples, let them come forward and fix it, otherwise they will remain silent forever. There is a real need to defend the city from uncivilized people and vandals.”

This vandalism is very worrying, especially for a station that has just opened. The safety of the city should be a priority, but there seems to be little attention to these acts of violence.
This vandalism is a very bad thing, I think those responsible must be severely punished. Naples deserves to be protected and not destroyed by those who have no respect for art and architecture. I hope the authorities do something.
