Vesuvius showed itself this morning covered by the first snow of 2025, offering a suggestive image to the citizens of Naples and tourists present. The snowfall affected the summit of the volcano and a good part of the ridge, following the recent precipitations and the significant drop in temperatures in the area of Naples and the province.
The wave of bad weather has in fact led to a drop in temperatures of 6-7 degrees compared to the previous day, transforming the Vesuvian landscape into a winter scene. The clouds, which enveloped the volcano in the early hours of the day, are gradually thinning out, revealing the large layer of snow.
Meanwhile, at sea level, the weather situation remains unstable, with intermittent rains accompanied by gusts of cold wind. The current weather conditions are capturing the attention of residents and visitors, offering new glimpses of snow-capped Vesuvius.

I have seen pictures of Vesuvius with snow, they look very beautiful. It is interesting how quickly the weather can change and transform the landscapes. I hope it continues to snow so I can see it for myself.
