A mechanical workshop specializing in truck repairs was seized for serious violations of environmental regulations.
Operation within the framework of the last Action Day of the "Land of Fires" project, coordinated by the Prefecture, the men of the Provincial Police of Caserta, led by commander Mario Mennillo.
Inside the facility, which covers approximately 400 square meters and has an additional 600 square meters of outdoor space, all kinds of waste were discovered, including numerous abandoned vehicles, tires, and ferrous metal.

The workshop owner was reported to the judicial authorities on charges of illegal waste disposal, unauthorized atmospheric emissions, and unauthorized discharge of wastewater. During the inspection, four illegal workers were also identified, working without contracts.
"Congratulations to the Provincial Police," said Marcello De Rosa, President of the Province of Caserta, "for yet another operation completed in the fight against illegal activities that compromise the environment and the health of citizens.
I've said it and I'll reiterate it once again: protecting our territory and our health must be everyone's priority. The European Court of Human Rights' condemnation of Italy in the Terra dei Fuochi case merely confirms a situation we, unfortunately, know very well. We cannot and must not give up: it's essential not to lower our guard and to continue with determination in taking action to combat all forms of illegality and protect our territory.
