Castellammare – Moments of tension in the city center due to traffic and double-parked cars: a Municipal Police officer, in the exercise of his duties, asked a driver for his documents to contest a fine.
The man, driving a car with German license plates, initially handed over his documents, but then snatched them from the officer's hands, got back into his car and drove off abruptly, deliberately hitting the officer.

The municipal non-commissioned officer suffered fractures to her arms and hands. The officers, through an immediate investigation, were able to trace the perpetrators of the act, who do not appear to be residents of Castellammare di Stabia.

It is incredible how the security situation is so precarious despite the statements of the Mayor and the Prefect. People are afraid to move around and this episode is proof of it, more controls are needed.
