Naples- Andrea September expressed his joy after his victory at the Festival of Sanremo 2025 in the New Proposals category.
“I am honored, the first word is this. After Sanremo I hadn't yet returned to my beautiful city that I missed so much, I would like to personally hug all the people who supported me during this experience. I'm very happy", said the young artist.
The bond with Naples is central to his speech: “I think that those who are Neapolitan can understand how tied we are to our city, to our origins: I like to put them in music, my way of seeing life has been influenced by Naples, human relationships, the way of living them, the affection, the warmth, the empathy”.
Settembre also emphasized the importance of empathy in his writing: “I really like putting myself in other people's shoes when I write and it's something that Naples has taught me above all.” He concluded by saying that he is proud to have brought a piece of himself and his city to the Ariston stage.

It's a beautiful article, but maybe Andrea could have explained better how Naples influenced him. Not everyone understands what it really means to have a connection with your city, and there are many people who don't know what he's talking about.
