A crime incident occurred in the centre of Avellino, where a 31-year-old man, originally from Santo Stefano del Sole, was arrested after committing a robbery at a tobacconist's on Via Luigi Amabile.
The man, with his face covered and armed with a gun, stole several hundred euros and then fled on foot.
Despite his attempt to run away, the robber was chased by some citizens who had already contacted 112.

At the time of his arrest, the gun in the man's possession turned out to be a toy replica of a real weapon, but without the distinctive red cap. This, however, did not prevent his arrest by law enforcement, who are now conducting further investigations into the incident.
