Despite the scarcity of INFO, Campitello Matese, in the province of Campobasso, recorded an extraordinary influx of tourists this morning.
Dozens of buses, mainly from Campania and Puglia, arrived in the early hours of the day, generating a long line of vehicles heading towards the ski resort in Molise.
Tour operators speak of a real “effect Roccaraso”, with numerous organised groups – especially from the province of Napoli – who chose Matese as an alternative destination after the restrictions imposed on bus circulation in the well-known Abruzzo ski resort.
While for some it was a forced change of plans, others confirm that they have always preferred Molise for their winter holidays. A positive sign for local tourism, which benefits from the increase in attendance despite the less than optimal weather conditions.
