A photographic journey with a Mediterranean soul characterizes the project that saw the Sicilian photographer Giuseppe Leone explore and document the Campania landscape. Carried out in 2019 and 2021, the project took place in stages that included cities and locations such as Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, Salerno, Benevento, and Procida. The tour was presented at the Fondazione Banco di Napoli.

Next year, in spring, the “Viaggio in Campania” will be presented in Sicily to celebrate Leone’s work, one year after his death. Mediterranean Promenade
The project is part of “Promenade Méditerranéenne”, supported by the General Directorate of Contemporary Creativity of the Mic through the Strategia Fotografia 2024 call. The initiative is among the special actions of the thirtieth anniversary of the “Penisola Sorrentina” Award, directed by Mario Esposito. The focus of the initiative is the enhancement of the landscape and cultural identities. Among the activities scheduled, there will be educational workshops and artistic residences, led by the artist from Sannio Peppe Leone. Innovation and photography will also be protagonists in the conversations-webinars on Cercarte.it, Alberto Nigro's platform that connects enthusiasts from all over the world. All activities will be accessible free of charge, expanding the cultural and educational offer.
