Fifty interventions in the Campi Flegrei to address the effects of bradyseism and seismic phenomena.
The Council of Ministers has given the green light to the programs, illustrated by the Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies, Nello Musumeci, of urgent interventions for the seismic requalification of public buildings and public infrastructures in the Campi Flegrei area.
In particular, the first program includes the identification of 36 interventions for public buildings on which seismic adaptation works are planned (in particular for 19 schools). The Program for the functionality of public infrastructures instead includes the identification of 14 infrastructural interventions (roads, water, sewerage, soil) to be started immediately, chosen from those resulting from the reconnaissance coordinated by the Campania Region and with the Municipalities of Pozzuoli, Bacoli and Naples, after the agreement with the Civil Protection and Cohesion departments
. Musumeci explains in a note: “The Meloni government's action for seismic prevention of public structures in the Campi Flegrei area is entering its full operational phase. A commitment that we immediately assumed and with equal punctuality maintained. Never before has so much attention been given.
The implementation of these interventions will be carried out after transfer to the Extraordinary Commissioner, engineer Fulvio Soccodato, in compliance with the sector regulations, the ownership of the same interventions and the relative financial allocation. Based on the estimates of the financial timetable, the total estimated expenditure for these first two programs is 184 million. In the next few hours I will sign the relative decree to start operations”.
