Tragic family history
This tragic situation recalls a similar episode 30 years ago, when Chiara's mother-in-law, also nine months pregnant, died of the same cause. Doctors were unable to save the baby, who was destined to be named Luca, the name Chiara and her husband had chosen for their unborn child as a sign of love and respect.
After giving birth, Chiara was transferred to San Giovanni Bosco Hospital in Naples to receive treatment in the intensive care unit. Unfortunately, her condition further deteriorated, and the young mother passed away on Valentine's Day, leaving her husband and the entire community of Castellammare di Stabia in mourning. Her organs were donated, and the possibility of an investigation to determine whether her death could have been prevented has not been ruled out.
