Centola – A dramatic accident at work cost the life of a man from Battipaglia this morning in the hamlet of San Nicola di Centola. The victim, engaged in pruning operations inside a private property, fell from a height of about two meters, hitting his head violently against a low wall. Despite the timely intervention of the rescuers, the man did not make it.
According to an initial reconstruction, the worker was pruning some trees, probably commissioned by the owner of the land. The exact causes of the fall are still to be ascertained, but it seems that the man lost his balance during the operations, falling and suffering very serious injuries to his head.
The 118 paramedics arrived on the scene, but unfortunately could only confirm the death.
