The Archaeological Parks of Paestum and Velia launch the theatrical review “Donne di Hera” at the National Archaeological Museum of Paestum. In collaboration with the Accademia Magna Graecia, the review aims to celebrate the strength of women under the mythical protection of Hera. The shows, written or adapted by Sarah Falanga, are inspired by the “Modern Myths” and promise to offer a new dramaturgy.

Show Schedule

The theater season begins on February 23, 2025, with the show “PINUCCIA – A tribute to Pino Daniele,” which inaugurates the series of events.

Entrance to the shows is included in the Parks ticket and in the Paestum & Velia season ticket. For further details, please consult the Official site. The first event, “PINUCCIA – A tribute to Pino Daniele”, offers a theatrical story that mixes prose and music. At the center of the narrative is Pinuccia, born on March 19 in the heart of Naples and whose existence is intertwined with the songs of Pino Daniele. Written and performed by Sarah Falanga, the show presents a narrative that alternates ironic and reflective tones, placing an emphasis on the paradox of existence. This work is produced by the Accademia Magna Graecia in collaboration with Teatrinedito AMG.

I read the article about the archaeological parks and the theater festival. It seems interesting, but I'm not sure if I'll go see the shows. I think the theme is very important, women deserve to be celebrated.
