Tragedy in Giugliano in Campania: in the afternoon, a fire broke out in an apartment on Via Starza, in the De Gasperi district, causing the death of a 64-year-old woman.

The victim, with mobility difficulties, was engulfed in flames; the neighbors, noticing smoke coming from the apartment on the mezzanine floor, attempted to help her, but without success. Her sister was also in the apartment, and suffered mild intoxication.
The local community is shocked by the loss of the woman, who had always lived in that house and belonged to a respected family. Firefighters and State Police officers intervened on the scene and are investigating to determine the causes of the fire.

It is truly sad what happened in Giugliano. The woman was known to everyone in the neighborhood and the neighbors did everything they could to help her, but unfortunately they failed. I hope that the investigations will clarify how the fire broke out.
