Caserta – In a joint operation between the Provincial Police and the Regional Agency for Environmental Protection of Campania (ARPAC), a waste recovery plant in Grazzanise was seized , revealing serious irregularities in the management of materials.
In recent days, under the leadership of Commander Mario Mennillo, the Provincial Police conducted an in-depth inspection of the plant, revealing waste management that was completely in conflict with current regulations. During the inspection, carried out in collaboration with ARPAC technicians and personnel from the Province's Environmental Sector, significant violations emerged: waste piled up without safety measures, leachate poured directly onto the ground, and a total lack of respect for basic environmental regulations.
The owner of the plant was reported to the Judicial Authority for the illegal management of hazardous waste and for not having respected the authorization requirements.
The President of the Province of Caserta, Marcello De Rosa, commented on the operation, underlining the institution's constant commitment to combating environmental illegalities. "Thanks to the agreement stipulated with ARPAC, we can intervene more effectively and widely throughout the territory. We thank ARPAC for their technical-scientific support and the Provincial Police for their continuous vigilance to safeguard the environment and public health", declared De Rosa.
This operation represents a clear signal of the hard line adopted by the Province of Caserta against environmental violations, confirming the commitment to protect both the territory and the health of citizens.
