New wave of attacks by Russian hackers on Italian institutional sites

Hacker attacks by pro-Russian activists do not stop: after the cyber raids recorded yesterday, this morning several Italian institutional websites have also ended up in the crosshairs of attacks DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service), which hit police and public transport portals.

The targets include the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, the Guardia di Finanza and the Carabinieri.

The National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) intervened promptly, alerting those involved and reminding them of the importance of adopting the protective measures already indicated.

According to qualified sources, these would once again be demonstrative attacks with propaganda purposes, without however causing significant damage. In fact, Italy has now developed effective strategies to defend itself from these cyber incursions, limiting their impact and guaranteeing the security of institutional systems.
