The plot of the novel
The plot develops from an episode that took place in September 1943, when two young Neapolitan partisans discover something shocking in an underground quarry during a conflict with the Nazi-fascists. At the same time, in the events set in September 2021, Moari Astarita, Deputy Commissioner of the State Police and head of the Homicide Squad of Naples, finds himself investigating the discovery of an old body in a fascist uniform in Procida. The investigations are complicated by a series of murders on the same island, forcing Moari and a Marshal of the Carabinieri to discover hidden truths among the locals.

The event at Casa del Giallo looks interesting, but I don't know if I'll be able to go. Alfinito's books are always well written, but the plot of this novel seems a bit confusing and difficult to follow.
