On the occasion of World Theatre Day, the Stazione Zoologica Darwin-Dohrn in Naples will host "The Theatre of Nature – Lo Guarracino: Theatre, Music and the Extinction of the Species" on February 18th and March 27th. Supported by the City of Naples through the "Theatre and Cinema, What a Class!" program, the event aims to engage young people through the performing and audiovisual arts. The Primo Aiuto Association, in collaboration with the Dohrn Foundation and other organizations, offers an experience that combines theatre, marine biology, and ecological economics.

### Dialogue on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Protection

On February 18, at 16.30:XNUMX p.m., a talk on marine biodiversity and species extinction will take place. Dr. Vincenzo Saggiomo will participate, along with project promoters, school principals and students. The meeting will focus on strategies for raising awareness and protecting marine biodiversity.

### Theatrical Museum Visit

March 27 will be dedicated to a dramatized museum visit, focused on four specific themes. The activity will explore scientific education, based on the song Lo Guarracino, and will stimulate interest in cultural roots. Students from the Pertini-Don Guanella and Sauro-Errico-Pascoli schools will perform the famous Neapolitan song. This innovative project uses theater to transmit scientific knowledge, forming a generation aware and committed to the protection of marine heritage.

Lo Guarracino, a traditional Neapolitan song, is a sort of inventory of the Campania marine fauna. Studied and appreciated for its vivacity, it represents an opportunity to rediscover and enhance the cultural heritage, linking art and science. The event will take place in the evocative setting of the Darwin-Dohrn Museum, a research and dissemination center for marine sciences, founded in 1872 by Anton Dohrn.

It's a very interesting initiative, but I wonder if young people will really be involved. The combination of theater and science is a beautiful thing, but it also needs more promotion to attract a wider audience.
