Workers at INPS Servizi, an in-house company of the National Institute of Social Security, have been waiting for months for a business plan that will clarify their future.
The issue was raised by Senator Annamaria Furlan, former general secretary of Cisl, a member of the Labor Commission, who filed a question with the Minister of Labor, Marina Calderone, to request urgent answers on the fate of the contact center employees.
"We are talking about workers who, in 80% of cases, receive very low salaries, often lower than the benefits that they themselves manage in the information service they perform. The process of internalizing the over 3.000 employees was a step forward, but still incomplete.
We need to ensure clarity on their contracts and future prospects. They do essential support work that needs to be properly valued,” Senator Furlan said.
The parliamentary question aims to urge the government to take a stand on the job stability and contractual conditions of Inps Servizi employees, a topic that involves thousands of workers and the proper functioning of social security assistance.
