A 38-year-old man, originally from Castellammare di Stabia, was arrested Sunday evening in Ravenna by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile after chasing his ex-partner in the car and punching out the window of the woman's vehicle.
During the investigation, the military discovered that the man was illegally in possession of a 7.65 caliber pistol, two magazines and 15 rounds of ammunition.
The arrest was also triggered following the complaint filed by the victim, who reported an escalation of threats and stalking, including death threats. According to what emerged, the relationship between the two lasted from 2009 to 2024, but after the breakup the man began to stalk her, even forcing her to leave her job as a bartender, which she had been doing for almost twenty years, due to his jealousy.
Le threats, according to what the woman reported, were explicit: "You have to leave Ravenna, I'll disfigure you with acid, you're dead, you have to take sleeping drops for life".

The escalation of violence reportedly culminated last Sunday, when the man, suspecting that his ex was having an affair with a relative, allegedly told her over the phone: "I'll shoot all of you and then kill myself," before leaving the house armed.
During the validation hearing, the 38-year-old, assisted by the lawyer Luigi Filippo Gualtieri, admitted to some behaviors, but denied the reconstruction provided by his ex. Regarding the gun, he stated that he found it by chance during work. The preliminary investigations judge, Andrea Galanti, at the request of the public prosecutor Francesco Coco, validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary custody in prison.
The weapon was found thanks to the elements provided by the victim, which allowed investigators to reconstruct a picture of threats and persecutions that continued over time. The investigation continues to clarify further details on the incident.
