From today, Monday 3 February, Alessandro Antonello's adventure at theInter: the now ex Corporate CEO leaves the Nerazzurri club “to take on new challenges”, as announced by the company in an official statement.

Antonello has played a central role in Inter’s development over the past decade. He joined in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer, was promoted to Chief Operations Officer the following season, and rose to the top of the management team in 2017, when he was named Chief Executive Officer, a role he held under two different ownerships.
In the official press release, the club underlined Antonello's decisive contribution to the company's growth and increase in revenues, in addition to the sporting successes achieved during his management: seven trophies won, including two Scudetti, two Coppa Italia and three Supercoppa Italiane.
Antonello's greeting: "Working for Inter will be an indelible memory"
Antonello wanted to thank the Nerazzurri world with words of great affection:
"I would like to thank everyone who has made these ten years in black and blue unforgettable: employees, players, coaches, managers, sponsors and fans. Working for this glorious club will be an indelible memory, which fills me with pride. I have dedicated every possible hour to this club and I am happy to have contributed to bringing it back to the top in Italy and Europe."
Even Joseph Marotta, president and only CEO of Inter after Antonello's farewell, wanted to express his gratitude: “On behalf of the entire club and the Nerazzurri family, I would like to thank Alessandro for his great dedication. On a personal level, I have been able to appreciate his human qualities since my first day at Inter. His work has undoubtedly contributed to starting this winning cycle. Among the many trophies won together, the day we won the Second Star will remain a memory that unites us”.

It's a real shame that Antonello is leaving Inter, he has done so much for the club in these years. I hope that the new CEO can continue on the same path and bring more victories. The fans deserve the best.
