ISCHIA – A territorial control operation conducted by the Carabinieri of the local company led to the arrest of a minor pusher near the “Telese” Hotel Institute.
The young man, a 17-year-old, was caught with a package containing 8 grams of hashish and a precision scale, both hidden in his underwear. After being stopped, the boy was taken to the police station for further investigation. The subsequent search of his home led to the discovery of another 25 grams of the same narcotic substance and a knife with traces of drugs.
The minor was transferred to the Colli Aminei First Reception Center in Naples. The operation is part of a larger control service that saw the Carabinieri identify 193 people and check 106 vehicles. 15 violations of the highway code were contested and two vehicles were seized.
During the same activity, the military reported two other people for drug-related crimes and receiving stolen goods. A 25-year-old Lacco Ameno was stopped in Piazza Antica Reggia while riding an E-bike that was stolen on January 10. The bicycle, worth about 2.000 euros, was returned to its rightful owner. A 20-year-old from Forio, on the other hand, was found in possession of 43 grams of hashish, hidden in a fanny pack, and reported to the competent authorities.
