After winning the 75th edition of the Sanremo Festival, Olly's Instagram profile has seen explosive growth, gaining a thousand new followers per minute.

The young Genoese singer-songwriter is now approaching one million followers, a surprising result considering that at the beginning of the week his fan base counted just 380.000 subscribers.

Despite not being among the favorites in the initial stages of Sanremo 2025, Olly triumphed with his song "Balorda Nostalgia", beating Lucio Corsi, another talented young artist at the event.

From the very first night on the prestigious Ariston stage, the numbers on social media were already significant: from the Monday before the Festival to the day of the finale, her Instagram profile saw an increase of at least 50.

000 followers a day, with peaks exceeding 80.000. The real explosion came when the announcement was made, when his profile literally took off.

Record growth on social media

Before the Festival began, Olly's number of followers was modest compared to other competitors. On February 10, his Instagram account had 380.621 followers, while artists like Fedez and Elodie boasted millions of followers. However, even without the victory, his popularity on social media was destined to rise. The first four nights of the Festival saw his profile grow to 689.935 followers, almost doubling the initial numbers.

The night explosion

Last night was a pivotal moment for Olly. When he was declared the winner, the influx of new followers was impressive: in ten minutes, his account gained 20.000 followers. At the time of writing, his followers have reached 906.000, an increase of around 120.000 followers in just seven hours. His rapid rise on social media shows a trend that could continue, with his one million followers ever closer.

The Olly phenomenon, therefore, is not only a musical success, but also an exemplary case of how the Sanremo Festival can influence the dynamics of celebrations on social media.

Ollie did a great job, but I wonder if all these followers are real or just numbers for show. The festival brought a lot of people to follow him, but real quality counts.
