The Palomonte Carnival, a renowned event in the Salerno area, this year presents itself with the theme "Under the spotlight for an Oscar-worthy Carnival," aiming to capture the allure of cinema through allegorical floats inspired by famous films.
The celebration will take place on three dates during March, thanks to the active participation of local families and the support of local artisans involved in building the floats.
### Program and Topics
The scheduled dates are March 2nd in Bivio, March 4th in Perrazze and March 8th in Valle.

The event also aims to showcase the local food and wine excellence. In 2025, participants will have the opportunity to savor the traditional cavatiello di Ze'Nunziata, a dish steeped in local history. Councilor Salvatore Giordano emphasized the importance of promoting and protecting local specialties, such as extra virgin olive oil and tomatoes, key ingredients of the Palomonte cavatiello. The Palomonte Carnival remains a significant event both culturally and socially, blending art, tradition, and local promotion.

The Palomonte carnival seems like a nice initiative, but I hope the floats are really well made and the food is good. Many times similar events disappoint, let's hope this year is different.
