Lucia Di Mauro Montanino, widow of a security guard killed by the Camorra in Naples in 2009, tells her story of forgiveness in a podcast produced by Sky Tg24 and Kayros.
The story focuses on a touching encounter between Lucia and one of the young men involved in her husband's murder.
In the podcast, Lucia Di Mauro describes her first encounter with one of the killers: a moment she imagined as a confrontation with a 'monster'. Instead, in front of her was a boy in tears.
This experience marked the beginning of a journey of forgiveness and reconciliation, giving life to an extraordinary story that is sensitively narrated in the recordings available on Sky Tg24 Insider and on all platforms starting from February 27.
In addition to the podcast, the story will be the subject of a documentary coming out in March. The entire project is a creation of Niccolò Agliardi, created by Vois in collaboration with Fondazione Cariplo.
The official presentation took place at the Kayros community for minors, managed by Don Claudio Burgio. Lucia's personal journey has also been immortalized in a book published by Piemme, in which she shares her process of forgiveness towards a young man who contributed to her husband's death.
