Maddaloni – He does not accept the end of the extramarital relationship and persecutes his ex-partner with phone calls, messages and death threats. A 40-year-old man, resident in Sant'Agata de' Goti (Benevento), was arrested by the Carabinieri of Maddaloni on charges of stalking, by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
The investigation was triggered following the complaint filed by the victim, who said she lived in a constant state of anguish for herself and her daughter. Her ex-partner, with whom she had been in a relationship since 2021, would not have accepted the separation, leading her to fear for her safety.
According to the woman, the harassment began as soon as she expressed her intention to end the relationship, exasperated by the man's obsessive jealousy, who wanted to check her cell phone and criticized her clothing, often judging it inappropriate. From that moment, her ex began to torment her with phone calls and messages, culminating in insults and, at times, death threats.
Following the investigations, the 40-year-old was placed under house arrest.
