Andrea Settembre, winner of the Young category at the last Sanremo Festival, was welcomed with full honors at Palazzo San Giacomo, where the mayor Gaetano Manfredi presented him with a commemorative plaque.
An acknowledgement for the emerging talent of Italian music who, with his victory, has brought the name of Naples to the fore. "Naples is an extraordinary reality in music and the arts.", declared Manfredi during the ceremony. "We have a great tradition and the ability to interpret new trends. Settembre's victory was a success with the public and critics, a wonderful achievement for him and for our city."
The plaque given to the young artist reads: To Andrea Settembre, son of Naples, as a sign of gratitude and admiration for the prestigious achievement he achieved, for having represented the city in the most important singing competition in the country.
