Naples – It is one of the most impressive drug seizures in recent years. The Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Naples have dealt a heavy blow to organized crime, arresting four people – three men and a woman – for possession for the purpose of dealing in narcotics aggravated by the large quantity and illegal possession of weapons in competition.
The operation, conducted during the night between the provinces of Naples and Caserta, led to the seizure of 745 kilograms of hashish and 5 kilograms of marijuana, with an estimated value on the illicit market of approximately 3 million euros.
During the searches, the soldiers also found 19 bullets and a firearm magazine.
The four arrested were transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere and Napoli Secondigliano prisons, pending the validation hearing. The investigation is coordinated by the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Prosecutor's Office.
