The Court of Assizes of Cassino has sensationally acquitted Michele Lo Bianco of the crimes of attempted murder, aggravated threats, personal kidnapping for the purpose of extortion and stalking of his ex-girlfriend from Minturno.
Lo Bianco, alias “satizzu”, nephew of the deceased boss Carmelo and leading member of the Lo Bianco-Mancuso clan of Vibo Valentia, had also been the recipient of a precautionary measure prohibiting him from approaching the victim, before being charged with the crimes of aggravated threats, attempted murder, kidnapping for the purpose of extortion and stalking.
At the end of his closing speech, the prosecutor asked for 13 years of imprisonment, but the complex and detailed legal issues raised by the defense, represented by the lawyer Massimo Viscusi, prevailed.
The acquittal of Michele Lo Bianco is very questionable, especially considering the crimes he was accused of. The defense did a very thorough job, but there are some questions that remain unanswered.
