Naples - Scheduled maintenance work at Naples Central Station, conducted by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), part of the FS Italiane Group, will begin tomorrow, Thursday, February 27.
The works, which will continue until Tuesday 1 April, will focus on the renewal of some switches, with the aim of improving the efficiency of the railway infrastructure.
An operation that will mobilize 45 workers and specialized technicians, both from RFI and the contractors, for a total investment of approximately 1 million euros. To ensure that the activities in the construction sites can continue, changes to train circulation on the routes will be necessary Central Naples-Formia-Rome, Naples-Salerno/Sapri and Naples-Caserta, with route changes or partial cancellations on the days affected.
RFI announced that the details of the changes to the schedule are available through the sales channels of the railway companies. The intervention, the company underlines in a note, is part of a strategic plan to guarantee greater reliability and safety to the railway network of the Neapolitan hub.
