Naples – Scheduled maintenance work will start tomorrow, Thursday 27 February, at the Naples station. Napoli Central, signed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), part of the FS Italiane Group.
- interventions, which will continue until Tuesday 1 April, will focus on the renewal of some switches, with the aim of improving the efficiency of the railway infrastructure.
An operation that will mobilize 45 workers and specialized technicians, both from RFI and the contractors, for a total investment of approximately 1 million euros. To ensure that the activities in the construction sites can continue, changes to train circulation on the routes will be necessary Central Naples-Formia-Rome, Naples-Salerno/Sapri and Naples-Caserta, with route changes or partial cancellations on the days affected.
RFI announced that details of the changes to the schedule are available through the railway companies' sales channels. The intervention, the company underlines in a note, is part of a strategic plan to ensure greater reliability and security to the railway network of the Neapolitan hub.
