Naples - Fabio Riccardi, a 41-year-old leading member of the De Micco clan, has been released from hiding. Yesterday afternoon, Carabinieri raided an apartment on Via Ungaretti in Ponticelli, where he was hiding. Riccardi, unaccounted for since November, did not resist arrest.
Investigators are now investigating who may have facilitated Riccardi's escape in recent months, not ruling out the possibility that the boss never left the eastern suburbs. Meanwhile, the search for Giuseppe Perrella, also affiliated with the De Micco clan, continues.
Riccardi's arrest, first reported by the newspaper Il Roma, followed a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge, which also implicated Perrella, Romualdo Amitrano, and Alessio La Volla, all considered close to the clan. They are charged with conspiracy to kidnap, aggravated by mafia methods.
The kidnapping of the brother of the Chinese boss Francesco Audino
The investigation began with the kidnapping of the brother of Camorra boss Francesco Audino, known as 'o Cinese, who had been in prison for about two years, in a bar in the De Gasperi district.

Three men, Perrella, Amitrano, and La Volla, forced Audino's brother to follow them. When they reached their destination, Riccardi and a dozen unidentified people were waiting for them. The hostage was released less than an hour later, frightened.
The kidnapping would be a revenge for the attack that Audino was allegedly responsible for in prison against Salvatore DeMartino, leader of the "Xx" group, allied with the De Miccos. Despite being questioned several times, Audino's brother has never revealed the names of his kidnappers.
Fabio Riccardi, who was held in Secondigliano prison, was also served with a second precautionary order charging him with attempted extortion aggravated by mafia methods.
